In Episode 12, after the manager (with red cap, voiced by Tomokazu Seki) punches the Clerk Sugita (voiced by Tomokazu Sugita), yelling about how it's important selling the leftover stuffs and telling him to make a recommendation to the customer, Sugita, while looking forward for something to recommend, says "Nanka, buki wa nai no ka?" (Isn't there any weapon?), which was said by Amuro Ray from "Kidou Senshi Gundam" when he piloted the Gundam to fought against the Zakus for the first time.

In Episode 16, when Kagami couldn't make up her mind on what to order, Konata/Haruhi says "There's a penalty if you take too long". This may be a reference to "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" where SOS Brigade members are penalized for being late.

In the Episode 17 ED sequence, while Shiraishi Minoru is singing and running behind a bus (??) the camera pans back and Kaori Fukuhara (Tsukasa's Seiyuu) and Hiromi Konno (Akira's Seiyuu) are talking to each other.

In episode 17, the "mysterious band of female bandits" Konata was refering to (at around 14:40) was the three sister bandit team consisting of the Kisugi sisters Ai, Hitomi and Rui from the series Cat's Eye.

In episode 9, on "Lucky Channel" segment, when Akira takes the panel with Tsukasa's picture by force from Shiraishi and throws it away, Shiraishi, afraid that she was going to hit him again, shouts "Oyaji ni butareta koto nai no ni!" ("Not even pops ever hit me"), which was said by Amuro Ray from "Mobile Suit Gundam", when he was slapped in the face from the second time by Bright.

During the Lucky channel at the end of each episode, the assistant who co-hosts is named Minoru Shiraishi, and the actual voice actor is named Minoru Shiraishi. If his voice sounds familiar, that's because he also plays as Taniguchi in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

In episode 18, when Konata and Kuroi-sensei were talking about Konata's studies and anime, the scene shifts into the battle animation of a Super Robot Wars game, specifically that of SRW W's style. It should also be noted that Full Metal Panic! and FMP The Second Raid were also in SRW W. Lastly, Kuroi also imitates Gates, the lead villain in TSR by saying the line "My honey!"

In Episode 18, when Tsukasa is told to read a newspaper, the book she is reading is "Lagoon Engine".

In Episode 18, Patricia mentions "Otome Road", which is the nickname of a street in Ikebukuro that is basically the female equivalent of Akihabara. She then mention "Fujoshi", which basically are yaoi fangirls.

In Episode 18, the ending has Minoru Shiraishi singing a song, "Kaorin's Theme", with Kaori Fukuhara, the seiyuu of Tsukasa, walking around in a wedding dress. The ending of the song has Shiraishi in the wedding dress instead.

In episode 16, when guy who looks like Kyon is ordering drink, girl cosplaying Yuki asks for permission with same lines as in "The Day Of Sagittarius" episode of Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi.

In Episode 18, Patricia mentions "Takarazuka Revue", which is an all female musical theatre troupe.

In Episode 18, the preview for Episode 19 has a blackboard with two quotes: "The coolest man in the world" by John Lennon, and "Shoot, coward! You are only going to kill a man" by Che Guevara just before being shot

In Episode 17, in the scene about job choices, Konata's choices are reviewed by Kagami. Her second choice down is "Nanto Shinken master." Nanto Shinken is a mix of two fictional martial arts' names from the Fist of the North Star series: Nanto Seiken and Hokuto Shinken.

In the intro at 0:55, Konata strikes an Ultraman pose.

In the opening sequence, at 0:55 to 0:56, when Yutaka Kobayakawa (Konata's little brown-haired cousin) appears in the screen, Konata strikes a pose with her fingers which is a trademark of Rumiko Takahashi's works (Urusei Yatsura, Ranma 1/2, Inuyasha) when characters startle or get beaten-up in a funny way.

In Episode 19, Miyuki's mother is holding a copy of "Ju-On" a.k.a, "The Grudge".

In Episode 19, the book Yui is reading has "Fate/Stay Night" on the cover

In Episode 19, there is a cosplayer dressed as Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist. The cosplayer is also holding an Al keychain.

In episode 10, when you first enter Konata's room, you get a clear picture of a figurine holding a golf club. This is a figure of Kooh from the Korean online golf game Pangya, or Albatross18 in America.

In episode 18, when Kagami is forcing Konata to read a light novel, Konata complains that Kagami's face is too close to hers ("Kao tikai tte!"), a complaint also done by Kyon from "Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu" to Itsuki Koizumi when he talks to him sometimes.

Episode 19 - In the above referred cosplay of Edward Elric, the boy dressed as Ed was talking to another boy in cosplay as a Federal Alchemist.

Episode 19 - Tamura explains to Kobayakawa that she used an anime's character name "Suzaku" (which Suzaku from many references in animes is not clear) so whe she looks at the screen of a neighbor bowling lane the written names are: Haruhi, Kyon, (Nagato) Yuki, Mikuru and (Koizumi) Itsuki - all characters from "Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu" and then she thinks that there are many people like her - "doko ni mo irun'desu ne Nakama-tte yatsu"

In Episode 19, when Hiyori falls to the ground, she suddenly takes on "Araki-esque" features and the katakana for "GO" and "DO" appear in repetition. Both of these are staples of the artwork seen in the manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
