Lucky ☆ Star is an anime produced by Kyoto Animation. Lacking a "solid" plot, the show instead focuses on the daily life of the cast. Ridden with pop culture references and parodies of other anime, Lucky Star is oddly addictive, despite it's seeming lack of storyline.
The series is reported to be 24 episodes long. The first episode aired on April 8th, 2007. At the time of this writing, the series isn't over yet, but you can check here for updates and episode summaries.
You know, this has been one odd occurence. The official statement was that the original director, Yutaka Yamamoto, was replaced due to performance issues/not up to standard. This surprises me, since he worked on projects like Air, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and did the opening for Fate/stay night. Which wasn't bad.
Fortunately, his successor's portfolio isn't too shabby. Yasuhiro Takemoto worked on the script for Haré+Guu, Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid:, and surprisingly, he contributed to a few episodes of Air as well.
Fortunately, the show hasn't suffered at all due to the change. Episodes 4 - 5 (where the director change took place) are seamless.
Yes, absolutely. I do not host any of the episodes, and have no digital copies on the server or locally. They are all hosted on video sharing sites which allow users the option to 'embed' these videos to their websites. I have simply created a consolidated resource for fans of the anime, linking to other web site's video content.
